About Me

About Me

I've always been drawn to helping people — people-watching, quietly, one-to-one, rather than in a crowd. That's just how I'm built.

After school I trained for three years in beauty therapy, then later, while I was at home with young children, I studied homoeopathy and dietary therapy for my own interest. Psychology, health, self-help — I've read around these subjects for most of my adult life. How we tick, both emotionally and physically fascinates me and I have never stopped learning about this. (Two of my own children went on to study Biology at university, so it clearly rubbed off somewhere.)

I ran a jewellery shop for over 20 years. It wasn't the plan — I grew up around retail and needed to provide for my children — but it gave me a grounded, practical understanding of people that I still draw on now.

The more I learned about hypnotherapy, the more it made sense to me. There's a solid body of peer-reviewed evidence behind it, across a wide range of issues, and — unlike some therapies — it doesn't rely on a client sticking with months or years of work before they see change.

I'm currently building on that further, training toward a second qualification alongside the root-cause work I already practise.

Now, at 60, with the high street changing and my children grown, I've given myself permission to do the work I've always been quietly drawn to: sitting with someone, one-to-one, and helping them move forward.

My Training

I have trained with Rachel Claire Farnsworth in the Decode Root Cause hypnotherapy and am fully insured. I am currently undertaking further professional training towards the Hypnotherapy in Practice Diploma (HPD), one of the most recognised qualifications in the UK.
